Game Project 2 Startup week!

This week we started out our work on a platformer yet to be named that uses pillar generation as it's main feature to platform with. We have been doing a lot of meetings to try out different movesets and ways the main mechanics of the game will work. We have finally decided on pillars able to be generated from floors and walls, if generated from a floor it will be locked onto it's xz-rotation locked to 90 degrees but will use the mesh normal as it's target angle when placing to be always rotaded horizontally. If placed on a floor it will be generated with it's y axis locked into a 0 degree rotation and always point upwards. Aside from that we have been discussing the theme and style of the game and i have been making grayboxes that represent a vertically structured cave and a horizontally structured open world. These are to be used to decide which approach works better before we settle on a setting and start making the final grayboxes that are to be sent to the artists.
